Professional Experience

Mr. Hallisey founded the firm in 1960 after working with several engineering firms during the 1950's. The firm has been located in the Hartford area since the 1960's, and has provided clients with structural and consulting services since that time. Additionally, he has conducted several investigations ranging from the minor (homes and retaining walls) to the major (collapse of the Hartford Civic Center). The firm has maintained a close relationship with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as architects, developers, contractors, and other related professionals. He has served as an expert witness relating to structural engineering issues and has provided trial testimony on numerous occasions. He has been a member of the Building Board of Appeals for the City of Hartford for 30 years and is presently a member (and past Chairman) of the Inland-Wetlands and Water Courses Commission and Building Board of Appeals in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He is also a member (and past Chairman) of the Connecticut Professional Engineers in Private Practice.

Project Roles and Responsibilities

As the founder of Hallisey Engineering Associates, Mr. Hallisey is responsible for the overall direction and objectives of the structural designs generated and produced by Hallisey Engineering.
